Learn to create safety and embrace your emotional pain and tears.
Crying is an ancient healing practice. Read that again. We’ve been disconnected from this practice for far too long. Your tears have the power to heal your body and transform you. Biologically, emotional tears carry the stress hormone out of your body, reducing the risk of living with chronic stress. Spiritually, shedding tears is a ritual to experience deep transformations, letting go, and passage for the new. Energetically, releasing tears creates space in your body for more peace and joy. Your tears are the medicine.
I know crying is not easy, it’s one of the most vulnerable experiences a human will inevitably have to go through, many times. But the act of crying makes people uncomfortable and brings up feelings of fear, embarrassment, and shame because of centuries of social and cultural conditioning that says, “crying is a weakness and unworthy of love.” This judgement, among others, has diminished our ancestral connection to safety around our tears. Safety, like any other healing practice, is essential when we need to shed some tears.

Consider this emotional limpia a mental health check-in. It’s a safe place for you to have a heart-to-heart conversation about the things that weigh heavy on your body and spirit.
La Limpia
An emotional limpia is similar to a traditional limpia or barrida in that they’re both energetic cleansing rituals to rebalance energy in the body. However, an emotional limpia focuses on releasing energy through tears and other somatic expressions.
We’ll start with a platica (heart-to-heart conversation) to get clear on the intention of the limpia and restore safety around emotional pain and tears. I will then guide you through somatic processing skills to release and rebalance energy in the body. Finally, we’ll seal the limpia with a visualization. If needed, I will suggest further practices and teach you skills to continue balancing your energy.
Everyone has different needs, which means that everyone will have a different experience. This offering was created with those differences in mind. Although I will give suggestions to continue your healing journey, ultimately, you decide when and how often you want to engage in this limpia. My emotional limpias are a slow and sustainable way to help you move through emotions one burden at a time, at your own pace.
