When You Want to Run Away: A Somatic Flight-Mode Visualization

Length: 8 minutes

Goal: let the body “complete” the impulse to run away safely through imagery + micro-movement, then re-orient to safety.

This guided practice is for the moments you feel triggered and your body wants to run away—leave, disappear, start over, or mentally escape. Through a gentle running-away visualization, you’ll give your nervous system a safe way to complete the flight impulse without making a rushed decision. We’ll pair imagery with simple grounding and micro-movement so you can return to the present, reconnect to safety, and access choice again.

Note: If you are in an unsafe situation, prioritize real-world safety first. This practice is for when you’re physically safe but your body is in flight-mode.
